10/08 Teen Connect Homework Hangout Program

Staff Facilitators: Spencer and Sheyan

Welcome to our Teen Homework Hangout. We meet every other Wednesday after school. Our focus is to provide a safe and quiet space for teens to devote time to their schoolwork. We'll have a certified teacher and paraprofessional (Spencer and Sheyan) at each event to facilitate in tutoring and homework. If your teen doesn't have homework, this is still a great space to decompress, read, write or paint with our supplies! The first half of our program will be devoted to homework, while we'll have a fun STEM experiment during the latter half. 
 

Considering the teens will be coming straight from school, we will be providing snack to hold them over until dinner, but we will not be having a full meal at this specific program.

• Attendees are encouraged to bring water bottles. We also frequently paint, so bring clothes that can potentially get some colors added to them.

Please review our updated Check-in process for all Teen Connect events:

• DROP-OFF is at 4pm or when they can get there after school*. PICK-UP is at 7 pm. 
  * If you can’t arrive right at 4pm, just let us know ahead of time when to expect you. We understand that work and drive times vary from family to family, and we’d still love for your teen to be able to join us.
  • Caregivers will be required to sign our check-in sheet at Drop-off and Pick-up.
  • If another adult (besides the caregiver(s) listed on your Caregiver Info Form) will be picking up or dropping off your teen:
    • Provide us with their first and last name ahead of time (either at check-in or in advance via email).
    • The alternate adult must provide a photo ID to show us, so we can ensure that teens arrive and leave with the correct adult. :-)
